The degree of luxury that you select depends upon how close you want to feel to nature and whether or not you are willing to do without modern amenities that pioneers did not have access to. After expending your energy, both of you will be ready to prepare and eat an intimate meal before heading off to bed.

A more luxurious cabin may include wifi, cable, a hot tub, a gourmet kitchen, linens, cookware, and dishes. You will still be surrounded by unblemished beauty and simplicity when you head outdoors to participate in some recreational activities but will be greeted by comforts from home when you enter your cabin.

Inquire About Local Activities

Access to a lake and woods may prompt you to try many outdoor activities, but what if you are eager to participate in something new? When you rent the cabin, ask about the popular destination that tourists and locals enjoy visiting.

For all you know, there could be a rock climbing venue, golf course, snorkeling outfitter, or all-terrain vehicle rental facility within the area, and each of these activities will provide you and your spouse with many ways to share quality time together. Try some activities that sound interesting to both of you. You may also want to sign up for guided tours of the area to familiarize yourself with the geographical features of the land.
